Caeden ruffled his younger brother’s hair. “Don’t worry. It was just Travis, like always.”Bryce shook his shaggy hair, once again reminding me of a dog, and said, “Want me to teach him a lesson?” he did a karate chop in the air. “I can take him,” he added.-Bryce and Caeden”

“Sophie was fine up until the point where she fell flat on her face when she got a look at my delicious abs,” he said and pulled up his shirt rubbing his chiseled stomach.I blushed and then mocked him, “Delicious huh?”“Oh yeah,” he said jokingly. “My basement floor is now flooded with your drool.”-Caeden and Sophie”

“Maybe you should date him?” I said.“Ugh no thanks,” said Caeden and then grinned. “He’s not as good of a kisser as you. I don’t think I could survive off of Murphy’s kisses. But yours… Your kisses are like heaven.”“Glad to know that you’ve made out with your dog, Caeden,” I said and punched his leg from where I sat on the floor with Archie who had curled up in a little ball on my lap. -Sophie and Caeden”

“It’s in your blood,” he said. “Really? Because I’ve had my blood tested and ALPHA never came back in the toxicology.”-Caeden and Sophie”

“Bryce burst out in laughter. He eyed Travis with a smirk. “Hasn’t your dad ever told you not to mess with an Alpha. You will get burned. Or I guess in this case, punched.”A ruler slapped down on Bryce’s desk making him and everyone else jump. Bryce growled. What was with all this male growling?”

“She tapped her foot. “Sometimes I swear you’re your father except with lady parts. You act exactly like him!” -Gram to Sophie”

“I clicked the button to unlock my car and it beeped cheerily. “We can go in my car,” I said and motioned to it like I was Vana White on Wheel of Fortune. -Sophie to Caeden”

“Nothing,” she said. “I don’t know what you’re talking about,” Gram added. “Oh, I don’t know maybe the voodoo mind magic going on five minutes ago?” I said.”

“Anything green is not a part of my diet. I’m a man not a caterpillar. -Caeden Williams”

“I saw Diana shake her head, “Jonathon, we’re here for you. Stop being a butt head.”We all started laughing. I was bent over at the waist with tears running out of my eyes.Mason said, “Did you seriously just say ‘butt head’?”Diana blushed, “Well, he was being a butt head.”

“She feels like she betrayed her sister. We all do. Please, Kylie, forgive us? I was told to get down on my knees and beg if need be,” said Seph. I couldn’t help but laugh. I crossed my arms and put a stern look on my face, “Beg,” I commanded.”

“You do that, buddy, and get back to me,” Jonathon joked. I eyed the vampire and coven member. The love of my life and my friend. Could Jonathon and Isaac become friends? The idea was almost laughable. Almost. “Oh, so we have pet names now do we,” Isaac looked thoughtful for a moment, “If I’m buddy I think I’ll call you buttercup.”

“Jonathon Matthew Pulmer you are not the boss of me. Now go prance your butt into your car and stop acting like King Henry VIII. The world does not revolve around you.” -Kylie”

“Not this again,” I moaned. “Jonathon, there are more important things in this world than me.” He looked thoughtful. “You’re right,” he said and I thought I might finally be getting through to him. He continued, “Chocolate gelato,” he grinned.”

“Kidding?” He asked; rolling the foreign word over in his mouth like he tasted something sour. “Yeah, you know. Joking. Ha ha ha.” I said.”

“Boys,” said Amelia as she and Patrick stepped forward with the last gift, “Can you never give anyone anything useful?” At the same time Danny and Mason broke out into grins and said, “But those are useful.” Amelia shook her head, her blond curls cascading beautifully around her.”

“Joseph handed me a neatly wrapped gift also in the metallic purple paper. “Diana wrapped it for you. She said my wrapping was an insult to humanity,” he said breaking out in a grin that made dimples appear in his cheeks.”

“And who exactly is supposed to eat all of that?" I asked Jonathon telepathically. "Don’t worry we’ll put on a show like we’re eating. Danny and Mason will probably eat all of it anyway." He said back. "You’re probably right." I said laughing silently in my head remembering how they devoured the pancakes this morning and how I had no doubt they’d do the same with the cake. It would be like watching semi-evolved cavemen hunt. Minus the loincloths of course.”

“I felt like I was in a dream; everything was so surreal. I felt like I had set foot in a fairytale. Maybe I had. If that was true, I certainly hoped I never woke up. -Kylie”

“Ooh, is the big bad Kylie going to punish the big scary vampire,” Jonathon said jokingly, elongating his incisors. He playfully, but lightly, bit my hand. “Oh, you’re so frightening.” I said feigning fright.”
